Ross Wallach: Powerboat Racing leader and President of RPM Racing Enterprises

Ross Wallach stands as the esteemed Owner and President of RPM Racing Enterprises. He's recognized in the industry as the visionary behind West Coast circle boat racing, taking on key roles such as race director and promoter. Notably, Wallach leads the Southern California Speedboat Club (SCSC), a club with deep roots dating back to 1946. This club has the distinction of being among the world's oldest active powerboat organizations and proudly oversees the iconic Parker Enduro.

Coined by Wallach as the "Indy 500 of powerboat racing," the Parker Enduro launched in 1963 as a marathon nine-hour powerboat race. With a history spanning 60 years, it's a staple in the powerboat racing calendar. It's worth noting that in 1999, under Wallach's new leadership, the race faced a hiatus due to financial challenges.

However, 2005 saw the race's triumphant return, thanks to Wallach's unwavering dedication. He ushered in a resurgence, emphasizing the race's core ethos of "run what you brung," and coined the resonant phrase, "no boat left behind." Through the years of economic hardship and participant decline, the Parker Enduro has evolved from its original nine-hour configuration to a format where participants race for four hours followed by an additional lap. Racing enthusiasts should mark their calendars for the next Parker Enduro, set to ignite waters from the BlueWater Resort and Casino, on the Parker Strip of the Colorado River in Parker, Arizona on October 28, 2023.
