Tres Martin Performance and Performance Boat School: Expert Training for High-Performance Boat Owners
Tres Martin, owner of Tres Martin Performance and the Tres Martin Performance Boat School, provides advanced, hands-on, skill-based training for performance boat owners. Raised in the boating industry, Martin worked alongside his father, Ralph Martin, at Everglades Marina in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Ralph Martin is renowned for organizing the first poker run for boats in 1985, a pivotal event in performance boating history.
Offshore Powerboat Racing Success
In 1986, Tres Martin began his illustrious career in offshore powerboat racing, excelling in the Superboat class. Throughout his career, Martin throttled various Apache and Fountain race boats, achieving a remarkable 66 wins, including four National Championships and four World Championships.
Founding Tres Martin Performance and the Driving School
In 1993, Martin founded Tres Martin Performance, specializing in high-performance boats. Recognizing a need for improved safety and insurance coverage, Martin established his performance boat driving school in 2003. The school addresses the challenges boat owners face when trying to secure insurance, and today, it is often a requirement for obtaining coverage from many insurance companies.
