Lorne Leibel, a distinguished offshore racing champion with three US and three world titles, boasts an impressive track record driving alongside renowned figures such as Bob Latham, John Tomlinson, Richie Powers, Ryan Beckley, Bob Idoni, and Bob Morgan.
Following a lengthy retirement period, Leibel, hailing from Canada where he owns a large homebuilding company, returns to the open ocean alongside his longtime friend Latham. Together, they compete in the Ocean Cup series aboard Leibel's vintage triple-engine 47-ft Apache, boat #001 of its model. Leibel's quest to acquire and reclaim the boat spanned years, involving a sale and subsequent repurchase.
