Tuff Boats in Ontario, Canada: Craftsmanship Meets Performance

Owned and operated by Mark and Thomas Weigl, Tuff Boats is a renowned high performance boat manufacturing company based in Ontario, Canada.

In the spotlight at the recent Lake of the Ozarks Shootout, Thomas Weigl showcased the exceptional capabilities of the TUFF 34 ft. model by piloting the boat to a record run. The boat, which is powered by a stout Mercury Racing 1100/1350 hp engine, now holds the distinction of being the fastest single-engine V-bottom with a pass of 135 mph. On their home lake in Canada, the boat has displayed its prowess by reaching an astounding 148 mph during trials.

The legacy of Tuff Boats can be traced back to Mark Weigl, the founder and President. With a history rich in offshore boat racing alongside his wife Dana, Mark's expertise is unparalleled. Their accolades include national and world championship titles onboard their 32' triple-engine Skater catamaran, aptly named "TUFF n' UFF". Despite financial challenges, Mark's dedication ensured their boat remained on par with bigger-budgeted teams, thanks to his meticulous testing and modifications.

This legacy of precision and dedication continues with Thomas Weigl, who mimics his father's work ethic. The Weigls take pride in being hands-on owners, ensuring that every TUFF Boat sold stands as a testament to custom design and craftsmanship, each one meticulously hand-built in their Ontario facility.
